Rules

2021

Short Version

An email will be sent to you with the list of driver tiers before every race and you will reply to that email with the 4 (or 5) drivers you want to pick for that race from each tier. The 4  (or 5) drivers you select will earn points for you depending on where they finish in the race, and whoever has the most points at the end of the race wins, and also the end of the season whoever has the most total points wins.

Payment/Entry Fee

There is a $55 fee due at the start of the season.  You will be prompted to “donate” at the end of the registration form. We will “donate” money back to the leagues winners throughout the season.

How it works

The drivers will be broken down in 4 tiers by the IndyCar point standings. Tiers A, B, C, and D. For Week 1 Tiers A-C will be based on points from 2019, and Tier D will be rookies. For the remainder of the season, tiers will be based on points.

You will pick one driver from each tier before qualification. You will earn points based on where your driver finishes. At the end of the year the top three finishers will win the prize money (breakdown of prize money will be determined after the Indy 500). In the event of a tie whoever picked the most race winners will break the tie. If you do not turn in your picks you will be given the worst picks of the week. There will be no exceptions, picks are due by the start of each race’s qualifying, No exceptions.

New this year: we will REMOVE your lowest race point total at the end of season.

Indy 500 Rules

There will be 5 tiers. Picks are due in before qualifications. If your pick doesn’t qualify you will be given the lowest qualifying driver in that tier.

Double Point Races

The Indy 500 and the final race of the season (Laguna) are worth double points. The Dual in Detroit, for all intents and purposes, will be a double point weekend for our fantasy league. There are 2 races in one weekend. You make one pick before the weekend and you earn points from each race. For these 3 races who ever has the best score will win $100.

Pay Outs

There will be one winner every race. Whoever scores the most points each race will win $50 ($100 for double point races, if we get to 90 paid members by the Indy Grand Prix, the Indianapolis 500 winner will get $200. If there is a tie the people who tied will move to a tie breaker. The tie breaker will be the following race points. If there is a tie at the end of the season the winnings will be split.

2020 has 13 regular races and 3 double point races, (doubling our 2019 race payouts) will go to individual race winners. The season ending pot will be determined after the Indy 500.
